Vandaag kwamen er twee nieuwe boeken binnen waar ik graag in ga beginnen! Allereerst het langverwachte Team Human van Douglas Rushkoff. Sinds ik officieel lid ben van de Team Human club (met clubkaart!) is het natuurlijk logisch dat ik het boek lees. Leuk om er een totebag bij te krijgen. Dat maakt het makkelijk om de anderen te vinden in het wild ?
Ik volg al langer het werk van Rushkoff en ik ben erg benieuwd hoe zijn boek me gaat bevallen. Ik zag op Twitter al de opmerking van Marco Derksen
Twintig jaar na Cluetrain Manifesto opnieuw een manifest dat een wending kan geven aan de manier waarop organisaties omgaan met internet
Tevens plofte vandaag Coders op de deurmat, het nieuwe boek van Clive Thompson. Eerlijk gezegd weet ik nog te weinig van het boek en de achtergrond. Maar ik heb Thompson hoog zitten als auteur en journalist voor onder andere New York Times, Wired en Fast Company.
I recently finished reading Team Human. Although I should not be surprised, but I found it less about technology (what I have come to expect from Rushkoff) and more about the capacity of humans. In some respects it feels like a modern day book of meditations.
I have started reading Coders. I had read Thompson’s post on women and learning to code, but like yourself bought the book on reputation. Am loving it so far. He really his a knack of telling a story.
