Exclusive: Substack makes first major podcast investment by Sara Fischer (Axios)

Een boeiende volgende stap van Substack. Ze hebben een tumultueus jaar achter de rug maar gaan onverminderd door om hun platform uit te breiden. Ik vind de combinatie audio en email zeker interessant. De opmerking van de Substack oprichters dat ze geloven in de kracht van email en RSS doet me goed. Ze bouwen aan een gereedschapskist voor makers met naadloos aangesloten instrumenten. Waarmee de maker zelf aan de slag kan, zowel op het open web als binnen het Substack platform. Dit in tegenstelling tot platforms als Spotify, die proberen je op te sluiten in hun silo.
