It’s a good thing Google discontinued their RSS reader product. Had it continued, they would likely be torturing RSS the same way they are HTML and HTTP. Had they kept it they could have siloed podcasting, for example.

Hier heeft Dave Winer best een punt. Het balboekje van Google is niet fraai betreffende webtechnologie en deze voor een groot publiek open en onafhankelijk houden. Het sluiten Google Reader heeft uiteindelijk voor een rijker ecosysteem gezorgd. En dat is goed.
